St. John's AME Church is sponsoring a Youth Career Symposium to be held Saturday, September 23rd from 10am to 1pm in their Christian Life Center. The symposium is designed to prepare high school & college students for the work world and to give them tools to use as they approach their chosen careers. The symposium will feature representatives from the Family Guidance Center with presentations on searching for jobs, work ethic and computer software skills. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Craig J. Boykin. Dr. Boykin is a motivational speaker and author of books entitled "College Success 2.0", "Right Moves, Wrong Methods" & "My Life, Your Inspiration". The symposium will also feature presentations on trends of today's job market, budgeting time & money and skits giving helpful hints about interviewing for jobs. Community service certificates will be awarded to youth that attend. Refreshments will be served. The church is located at 807 Madison Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama.
